Hi everyone, My WD My passeport is not recognized by my mac book pro anymore. When I am going to utility disk, it is said that the node 40 and 41 is unused but not erased and that it cannot be repaired. I don't know if it's a battery problem (on my mac), or an hard drive problem. My MacBook Pro won't recognize my WD External Hard Drive? I have a 2010 MacBook Pro running OS X and a WD 1.5TB Passport External Hard Drive. The drive is about 3 months old and is formatted for a Mac (Mac OS Extended (Journaled)). Here is a message of the terminal: /dev/rdisk1s3: starting journal_replay(/dev/disk1s3) returned 0 Using cacheBlockSize=32K cacheTotalBlock=8192 cacheSize=262144K. Executing fsck_hfs (version diskdev_cmds-540.1~34). ** Checking Journaled HFS Plus volume. The volume name is CELIA DIPLOME ** Checking extents overflow file. Thanks a lot in advance!!! Hi SuperSoph, Thanks for your answer. I tried on another MAC OS X and even on a PC and the problem was still here. The Disk utility told me it couldnt repair it. I also tried another plug but it didn't work. What I heard as a possible solution was to get the software ' Drive Genius ' and try to duplicate all the data into another hard drive. Are you working for WD? Do you think it would be possible to send me another HD to save all my precious data? Thanks a lot in advance, Celia Hello again, Celia!
