Sarcasm at its best. For anyone that finds themselves on this thread after a search. There is a DS emulator for OS X, it's called DeSmuME. It's not a 1.0 release, however I've never had any issues with it. The 3DS is actively being worked on by Nintendo with updates being pushed out every month to work with the new games. Hence its been really hard for people to reverse engineer it. They think they're getting somewhere, when it's patched up by the next week. R4 3DS Emulator is an emulator for Windows PC of the Nintendo 3DS portable video console with which we can run all its games from our computer's desktop. Nintendo shouldn't hear about this otherwise it will get angry. You can play 3DS games on Windows PC using R4 3Ds Emulator. It emulates the process and the graphics of the Nintendo 3Ds console. It processes game graphics in the best manner compared to other emulator software available. Thus there isn't even any homebrew. We most likely won't see an emulator until three years down the road at this point, especially with the Pokemon X & Y buzz and new 2DS systems being put out. It's kinda stale right now, but it's going to quickly turn around by December and give it another 2 years of life. So like Dagless has pointed out, indeed your only option is to just get the actual hardware. There is no emulator that can play 3DS, and there's no point to the development of one until the 3DS development itself comes to an end because you wouldn't be able to play the latest games when they rely heavily on updated firmware. You're not going to see a 3DS emulator for at least a year or two, maybe longer. The reason for this is two fold: 1) There are no ARM emulators out there fast enough to run the 3DS system software (or any 3DS game for that fact). MAME recently got a basic DRC core that *could* potentially be up to the task in the future, but they've got a very, very long way to go before that is even remotely possible. ![]() 2) There is more to the 3DS then a CPU, and to my knowledge no serious reverse engineering attempts have been made to reverse engineer the 3DS's GPU, WLAN chipset, or any of the other silicon inside the console. At this point in time, anything you see claiming to emulate the 3DS is a scam or fraud (there's some lame ass emulator out there called 'eMu3Ds' that makes you complete a survey to get the 'BIOS files'- it's a total scam, don't bother falling for it). You might as well stop searching the internet because 3DS emulation isn't going to magically sprout up overnight- the code required to make it happen doesn't exist yet and nobody is actively working on it with any meaningful amount of dedication or effort. Click to expand. So what you're telling me, is that Nintendo has some kind of right to continually benefit from me because my ancient console died and the only replacement I can buy is a brand new console, all so that I can pay for the games I've already bought again? Unfortunately I live in a sane country with a sane government and sane laws. Emulation is not illegal here, if you own the hardware first- so I don't really care what Nintendo thinks they're entitled to. I'm not at all surprised that they're against emulation. God forbid people should continue enjoying the same old entertainment until the end of time. If that happened, they might land up going bankrupt! ![]() And then what would we do without the next major rehashing of Super Mario Brothers? The Nintendo quote was just in the mood for this topic (3DS) but it is true that laws vary from country to country from case to case, and so on. Now I absolutely agree with the fact some old consoles won't benefit from 'sales' anymore so not like by emulating them, they won't perceive money. But anyway copyright is copyright and intellectual property is intellectual property and they can do whatever they please or feel like, after all they 'invented' it.

HP Laserjet 1320 Printer Setup, Wireless Setup, Driver and Manual Download - HP Laserjet 1320, There's a reason Hewlett-Packard controls the market for business-class laser printers. The company knows what business individuals want: solid efficiency, no-fuss layout, good manageability, and solid tech assistance. The HP LaserJet 1320, a portable residence and office grayscale printer, may not be the most inexpensive small-office laser readily available, yet it supplies on the fundamentals then some. It publishes sharp, tidy black letters as well as good graphics that suit professional manuscripts. As well as unlike moderate lasers such as the Brother HL-5140, which costs half the cost, this HP offers options your expanding business will require, such as a built-in duplexer, a high maximum resolution for grayscale graphics, and the option to buy a model with wired or wireless networking preinstalled. Aside from the single-user 1320, which we reviewed, you could pick from 3 networkable versions, consisting of the 1320nw with packed 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi. The HP LaserJet 1320 makes a great company investment, whether you work in a one-person shop or a business office. The style of the HP LaserJet 1320 screams 'made for your work area,' from its two-tone gray housing as well as teal- and salmon-colored switches to its small, cubic shape, makings it appear like an enormous workgroup laser shrunk to desktop size. Given the mess on a lot of workdesks, we value the self-containment of the toaster-shaped 1320. Printed web pages come out of the leading panel of the printer, and the 250-sheet input drawer slides neatly right into the printer's body. This device has a 14-by-14-by-10-inch (WDH) footprint and evaluates 25 pounds. Hp Laserjet 1320 Printer Setup The 1320 additionally features a single-sheet multi-purpose input tray, which you could access with a door on the front panel to promptly print letterhead or envelopes one by one. ![]() HP LaserJet 1320 Driver Download, Software, and Setup. The design of the HP LaserJet 1320 shouted “made to your cubicle,” from a gray two-tone casing button and colored orange and colored to its compact cubic shape, which makes it look like a large laser workgroup shrinking to desktop sizes. This document is for HP printers that work with macOS Sierra and OS X El Capitan and Yosemite. Review Mac driver type availability by printer model for Sierra, El Capitan and Yosemite. Deskjet D1320. An error message displays after upgrading your Mac to a new version OS X or macOS, go to HP Customer Support,. ![]() In case you're printing on hefty media and need a straight paper path, simply open the result door on the back panel, and your prints will exit there without crinkling. The HP LaserJet 1320 consists of both a contemporary USB 2.0 port and an antique parallel port, yet customarily, you'll have to acquire the cables separately. If you need to share the printer in a workgroup, you should either pay $100 even more in advance for the network-ready 1320n or take into consideration the 1320nw, which at $549 (since the evaluation date) introduces a wireless 802.11 b/g print web server. The HP LaserJet 1320 benefits praise for consisting of a function that's rare in such a small device: its built-in duplexer lets you print on both sides of a page without making you turn over the sheets individually. Given that the development of email and the Internet have actually paradoxically created much more paper waste, duplexers are an economical, eco-friendly essential for any type of office. You'll be hard-pressed to discover a duplexing desktop printer in this price array. Once you install Yosemite, the file will automatically erase itself, so it's important to make a bootable drive first. If you want to install first and then make a bootable drive, make a copy of the installer app in another location so you can access it later. Worst case scenario is downloading the large file again from the Mac App Store, but then why make a bootable drive? The Easiest Way: Use DiskMaker X By far the easiest way to create a bootable drive is to use the DiskMaker X application, which automates the entire process in the next method. To start out, download the newest version of DiskMaker X from. Currently, that's the. Next, it's best to format your USB device as Mac OS Extended (Journaled). With Scheme as: GUID Partition Once you do this, open the macOS Sierra installer. When you are prompted to choose an install destination, make sure to choose your USB device. (Update: the public Yosemite version is out now, and you can download it from,, or.) Once download, open it up and select 'Yosemite Beta' or 'Yosemite 10.10' (depending on the version you're using) to start the process. Then just follow the rest of the prompts to start the disk-making process. It could take anywhere from 15 minutes to to 45 minutes to finish, depending on your USB flash drive. If it's more toward the latter, you might get a ' error, but it should still work, (it worked for me). The Less Easy Way: Format & Use Terminal If you're more comfortable with Terminal commands, this is the method for you. Just make sure your USB drive is already formatted correctly before proceeding. To see how to correctly format your USB drive, please see Step #1 below in the 'The Hardest Way' section. With your USB drive ready to go, open up Terminal and type (or copy/paste) the following command. • sudo /Applications/Install OS X Yosemite.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Yosemite --applicationpath /Applications/Install OS X Yosemite.app --nointeraction Note that you should replace the 'Yosemite' in 'Volumes/Yosemite' with whatever you named your USB drive. This should all be one line. After you get it in there, just hit the Enter key. Type in your admin password to continue and the Enter again. (You won't visibly see your password typing, but it's happening—believe me.) Now just wait. This could be fairly quickly or very long, depending on your system and USB drive. The Hardest Way: Do Everything Manually If you don't want to use DiskMaker X or Terminal commands, this is another option for you. It's a lot more complicated, but gets the job done. Step 1: Reformat Your USB Drive First, make sure you have a USB flash drive that's at least 8 GBs in size, then mount it. Open up Disk Utility and do the following. • Select the USB drive (not the partition) • Go to the Partition tab • Change the 'Partition Layout' to 1 Partition • Rename it Yosemite (or whatever you want) • Select Mac OS Extended (Journaled) as the 'Format' • Click the Options. After your Finder reloads, the hidden files you once saw before should now be gone. Go ahead and close all of your windows, exit Terminal and Disk Utility, and eject your mounted disks to clean up your mess. Installing Yosemite on Your Computer Now, it's time to test out your new drive. Restart your computer while holding the Option (Alt) key on your keyboard. ![]() Wait until the Startup Manager pops up, then select your new OS X Base System volume (or whatever your bootable drive is called). Alternatively, you can just hold down the C button while starting up to boot directly into the USB drive. Troubleshooting Tips If the installation of Yosemite freezes, it's probably because your USB drive is corrupted in some way. This happened to me on the first couple tries, where it would freeze at 5 minutes left. The third USB stick I used was successful, and it took less than 15 minutes for Yosemite to boot up. If you're getting an Undefined error: 0 warning when trying to install, this more than likely means that you forgot to perform Step 6 above, so make sure to copy over those two BaseSystem files. If you got the 'AppleEvent timed out' error using DiskMaker X, more than likely it'll still work. Just eject the new drive and use it. If it doesn't work, try one of the other methods out to start over. If you're not sure if you're going to like Yosemite over Mavericks, I would suggest and installing Yosemite there, that way if anything goes wrong, your Mavericks installation will still be untouched. I tried on another MAC OS X and even on a PC and the problem was still here. ![]() Whether you’re using an external hard drive for backup purposes or to provide additional storage for your Mac, it’s important to make sure that whatever information it contains is as secure as possible. By default, an external hard drive can be accessed on any other Mac without hinderance, so even if you have FileVault 2 enabled on your Mac but you’re backing up to an unencrypted hard drive, it’s rather redundant. OS X can encrypt volumes located on external hard drives and USB sticks in just a few clicks, making it impossible to view the contents of a volume on any Mac unless the correct password is provided. Supported Filesystems OS X can only encrypt volumes that are Mac-formatted with the filesystem Mac OS Extended, otherwise known as HFS+. If you have a disk formatted in a more Windows-friendly format, such as ExFAT, then disk encryption won’t be possible. To erase and format any drive connected to a Mac computer running OS X Yosemite, use Disk Utility. Simply erasing a USB drive in Disk Utility will automatically format it too. Encryption is not an option when you partition a USB flash drive. Encrypting a volume using the Finder The Finder includes a built-in option to enable (and disable) disk encryption on a volume without first needing to reformat it, provided it’s Mac-formatted to begin with (see above). This allows you to encrypt a volume already containing files and folders without worrying about copying them back and forth. With a suitable Mac-formatted disk connected to your Mac, right-click the volume within the Finder’s Sidebar or on the Desktop and select Encrypt volume name. OS X will then prompt you to enter a suitable password. You can either specify your own or use the small 🔑 icon to bring up OS X’s Password Assistant to randomly generate one for you. Finally, disk encryption requires a password hint be provided since forgetting it will mean you can no longer access any of the data the volume might contain, and there’s no amount of data recovery that can bypass this. Disk encryption can take anywhere from a few seconds to an hour depending on the size, speed and amount of data on a disk. A near-empty 32GB USB 2.0 stick took only a few seconds but a 1TB USB 3.0 drive that’s almost full might take considerably longer. ![]() Fortunately, OS X still provides access to the volume so you can keep reading and writing data to it though you’ll find you won’t be able to eject it until it’s completed. If you’re planning to do this on a portable Mac, make sure you’re in a position where it isn’t going to run out of power and can be left running until it’s finished, so starting it at the airport just before you’re about to board isn’t going to be the best place to do this. Decrypting a volume using the Finder If you decide that the volume you’re using no longer needs to be encrypted, it can be decrypted just as simply. Right-click it within the Finder’s Sidebar or on the Desktop and select Decrypt volume name. You’ll be required to enter the password for the encrypted volume again, even if it’s mounted, before OS X will disable encryption. After that, the volume will decrypt. Again, this process can take some time on larger and slower disks so plan accordingly. What about Disk Utility? Rather surprisingly, Disk Utility is pretty bad at dealing with disk encryption. For example, the Finder includes a one-click option to enable or disable disk encryption. In Disk Utility, the option is never available and seems to be permanently disabled. Disk Utility can be used to format a disk and enable encryption at the time, though it offers no benefit over just formatting a drive normally and then using OS X to encrypt it using the above steps. I don’t see any reason to use Disk Utility over the Finder when it comes to encrypting a disk. I have an external USB drive and want to encrypt it. I have seen many 'suggestions' on how to do that, but I do not see any option to encrypt the drive. I am using MacOS 10.13.2. I have see, for example,. But in step 9, when I right click the drive (on the Desktop or the Finder), there is no option 'encrypt'. Before that I have formatted the drive in the 'Mac OC Extended (Journaled)' format. No option for encryption in the Disk Utility either. So how to do that? Maybe the option was forgotten in the new OS version? I didn't find a way to do this from Disk Utility, but you can accomplish it from Terminal using diskutil. Open Terminal and run diskutil list to show all devices currently connected. One of the entries should look similar to /dev/disk7 (external, physical): #: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER 0: FDisk_partition_scheme *1.0 GB disk7 1: Apple_HFS LOGBOOK 1.0 GB disk7s1 with the name of your USB stick instead of LOGBOOK. Take note of the device shown in the first line. Then run diskutil eraseDisk JHFS+ NEWNAME GPT /dev/diskWHATEVER-NUMBER-YOURS-IS to erase all content and create the required partition scheme. Replace NEWNAME with whatever name you want to use (enclose in ' if it contains anything else than letters) and use the device number found above. Citrix Client not using Proxy Server. I've been following this tutorial on how to install it. I ran into problems pretty quickly. ![]() Check back often to download the most recent version. One of the big news is, that it does not need X11 anymore. The current stable branch of Wine. It is usually very static and only receiving very few updates. If your program runs with it, it is a great way of having a solid base to use your apps on. This is the last 'complete' version of Wine for OS X Tiger. You can use this version of WineBottler together with the 1.4.0 and the 1.4.1 No-Audio-Build on OS X Tiger (see below). Wine is no longer actively developed for OS X Tiger. ![]() My buddy is asking me for help at his work. They edit a LOT of videos and they're always having to pass portable hard drives around to share projects. I'm trying to set them up with a NAS. Money isn't an issue, so I can make it pretty powerful. It'll involve 10gb Ethernet connections with link aggregation on the NAS computer for high bandwidth and 8 1TB SSD's in an undecided RAID configuration. My question is two fold. First, can both Windows and Mac access the same NAS (most likely freeNAS)? And if so, could they both work off the NAS in the same manner as a local drive instead of having to transfer, work, transfer back? I'm new to NAS and the stuff I've been reading makes me think that access from both Windows and Mac isn't a problem. But I can't get a clear answer on using NAS in the same manner as a local drive. And while I could dive in and figure it out from tinkering, they won't let me loose on it until I have answers. My buddy is asking me for help at his work. Mar 24, 2012 - Using FreeNAS's CIFS Service To Allow Local Computers (e.g., Mac, Windows, Linux) To Share Data Within A Local Network. Posted on March. FreeNAS supports sharing protocols for all major operating systems including CIFS/SMB (Windows), AFP (Apple), and NFS (Unix). Stream Movies and Music FreeNAS makes it easy to stream and share your movies and music with your family on any number of devices. The answer to all of your questions is 'Yes'. Both Win and OS X platforms can access the same NAS at the same time, no need for a 2 step transfer/share process. Yes, you can set up shared drives that can be used similarly to local drives. Just another mapped drive, not a problem. FreeNAS is excellent for these capabilities, so is Windows Home Server 2011, and NAS4Free. There are other similar OSes available as well. SMB (server message block) is Microsoft Windows' way of sharing files across a network, and it's become the accepted universal standard. (Well, an accepted universal standard. The next most popular is probably NFS, but that's mostly used in Unix. ![]() And Windows support is spotty at best.) The package for accessing SMB shares on Unix systems like OS X has been coined Samba, and OS X has a version. If you use FreeNAS, you will probably want to set up the shares as SMB for this reason. So yes the Macs will be able to access file shares on the NAS, or on Windows computers for that matter. |
